Setting up Designations

Designations in Impexium include degrees and other accolades.

Tip: Your system can be configured to ask for a new user's designations during the signup process and to display their designations in the title of their Individual Record/My Profile page.

Example: Patrick has a master's in accounting and is also a certified public accountant. The designations he has earned are "MSA" and "CPA."

An individual's designations can be selected on their Individual Record > Account tab > Additional Info. However, the list of designations must first be created.

To set up the designation list:

  1. Navigate to the Customers App > Setup.

  2. Select the Designations menu option.

  3. Click Add New Designation. The Add Designation form will appear.

    1. Enter the Name of the designation (max 50 characters).

    2. If you wish, record a Description.

    3. If the designation should be automatically applied when a customer earns a certification, click the Certification Designation check box. The Associated Certification(s) list box will automatically appear, but this will remain blank until the designation is connected with a certification—this configuration is done on the Certification Record.

    4. Click Save.
